How to root and install CWM Recovery on Intex Aqua i5 smartphone

Intex Aqua i5 has received its first custom thing ever (in technical terms). It has received its rooting and Recovery image kits so that you can very easily root and install custom made recovery on it. If you are a new Android user then you might be not aware of the terms rooting and recovery. So let me brief it a little.

Every phone comes with some factory stocked software features. Such features hinder users in case they want to go for some types of custom modifications. In order to get read of all the hinders, you need to unblock the boot-loader of your phone. It can be done with a process called rooting. Custom Recovery can be considered as the custom inbuilt menu which provides platform to deal with high level cases like ROM developments.

So with rooting and custom recovery you can self-modify your phone with special apps and custom ROMs. Well talking about phone then it comes with Android 4.2 Android Jellybean OS which is the latest one in the market. So ROM wise you don’t need to worry at all but yes if you want to get your hand on special apps which require rooting then you can follow this procedure.

How to
First of all follow these pre-requites. Please go for the main tutorial after following these pre-requisites first. Pre-requisites deals with some of the steps like how to backup phone’s data, improving security etc. You need all pre-requisites to be done before the main tutorial. After this you can move with the main tutorial which is listed below:
1. Download MTK Tools, rooting Package and CWM Recovery Image on your computer.
2. Now with help of USB cable. Connect your Aqua i5 to your computer.
3. Extract the downloaded rooting package and open the RunMe.bat file.
4. After this you will get one command windows. Select “1” and follow the onscreen guide.
5. It will root your i5. You can also un-root it through the same tool (options are there).
6. Now open Mobile Uncle (MTK) tool and select Update Recovery. 7. After this choose the recovery.img file.
8. It will take around 4-5 minutes for complete flashing.

Once this process is completed, your Intex Aqua i5 is now rooted and is blessed with custom CWM Recovery. Now you can try all rooting required tasks on your normal Aqua i5. Just in case you are missing something, then let me know through comments.
