XXUFME7 Android 4.2.2 ROM update for Samsung Galaxy S3

Samsung Galaxy S3 has received a minor Firmware update. Now you can update Galaxy S3 with XXUFME7 Firmware Android 4.2.2 Jellybean ROM. This firmware is JDQ39 built and houses plethora of features. Galaxy S3 is receiving timely updates from company.

With this update, Samsung has tried narrowing the gap between GalaxyS3 and Galaxy S4. This firmware is rich in features which somewhere relates it to Galaxy S4. Above all it is molded on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean environment which is currently the latest Android version. So in all it is a must have update which you should apply at the earliest. Here I am going to share one manual method about applying this ROM update. I am not sure whether Samsung will release OTA update or not but very probably they will not bring any OTA for it so it is better to use this alternative manual way.

How to install XXUFME7 Firmware Android 4.2.2 Jellybean ROM on Samsung Galaxy S3

First of all please read these pre-requisites and try to complete them. This is just for security part. I have divided the remaining procedure in 2 parts:

PART I: Downloads
Download these files to your computer:
• XXUFME7 ROM package
• Odin
Unzip these files.

How to boot to download mode
It is required in Part II. So at first turn your S3 OFF. Now press and hold Power + Vol. Down buttons simultaneously. It will boot it to download mode.

You can check latest firmware version from Settings>>About Phone menu. If you see Android 4.2.2 JB, XXUFME7 Firmware there then that means you have successfully flashed this latest ROM in your S3. If not, then you need to repeat the complete process from Part II.
