Installation Guide for XXUAND2 Android 4.1.2 JB ROM on Samsung Galaxy Star Pro S7262

Samsung Galaxy Star Pro S7262 can now be updated with official Android 4.1.2 Jellybean OS. I know you must be expecting Samsung to come up with official Android KitKat for Star Pro smartphone but unfortunately it is not the case this time and moreover there is no ETA about when officials will have the time to develop official KitKat ROM for this smartphone. Nevertheless you can anytime update your Star Pro with Android 4.1.2 Jellybean ROM that is based on official XXUAND2 dubbed firmware.

This update can be applied with help of Odin setup (which according to me is pretty simpler and easier than other methods). With this update, Samsung has tried to address RAM customization problems that were there with previous official update. This XXUAND2 based update will enable inside sources to manage RAM usage with better approach. It will eventually make your phone a better device in terms of multi-tasking and handling heavy apps (that was usually not allowed with official kit). Its official nature allows you to try it on un-rooted device even. Although it is an official update but I will still advise you to get a proper backup of your system data (be it through KIES or some other media) so that any sort of accidental cases can be avoided. So by assuming that you have properly backed-up your contacts, logs, messages etc, here I am listing all the steps that you will require to install XXUAND2 firmware in your Star Pro smartphone:

• Download ROM Packet to your computer. Please store it to a location that you can remember at later stage.

• Now boot your smartphone to Download Mode and follow these instructions (related to use of Odin tool).

In order to boot your smartphone to Download mode you will have to switch it OFF first. After that you need to press and hold Power + Home + Volume Down buttons all together. It is a crucial step that may prove to be a hectic one for newbies. If you are unable to boot to download mode with this combination then you can try automated ways with software like ROM Manager. You can easily find such apps on Google Play Store.

Once you are done with all the instructions, please hover over to Settings>>About Phone menu. There you should see Android 4.1.2 Jellybean as firmware version. If it is there then that means you have successfully installed XXUAND2 firmware on your smartphone and in case you are seeing your previous firmware version then that means you will have to repeat the entire process once again.
