Report: UMI X1s launched with quad core CPU, JB OS and other feature details

New company UMI has launched one new quad core smartphone. They entered Indian market with UMIX2 which was too stuffed with quad core processor and that gave tough competition to giants like MMX A116, Xolo q800 etc. Yesterday they added UMI X1 to their portfolio.

Now UMI has wrapped quad core processor at an unbelievable price of Rs. 10,500. I am really excited about this quad core gadget. It is the cheapest quad core machine in India currently. It’s not like that they have built it on a very strong processor by compromising other features. UMI has developed with outstanding features which are really hard to believe as it comes with entry level price.

UMI X1 features
UMI X1 houses a 4.5 inch HD screen with amazing 1280x720 pixels resolution. Its screen supports 5 point multi-touch which is simply awesome. It is protected through Gorilla glass protection which is seen with high budget mobiles only. it runs on Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system which comes with flawless software features like gesture typing, project butter etc. It is a dual SIM phone which comes with dual standby. It is housed with a very strong MTK6589 chipped processor with quad core CPU and 1.2 GHz clocking. Additionally it comes with PowerVR SGX 544 MP GPU and 1GB RAM. Believe me these specs are very rare at such price tag. Till now this price slot was booked by MMX A110 Canvas 2 but by seeing specs of UMI X1, A110 stands nowhere close even. But yes company matters!

It comes with 4 GB internal and 64 GB expandable memory. It is equipped with 8MP autofocus camera and 2MP front facing camera. Its rear camera comes with LED flash which can be used as a torch light too. Further it records and plays full HD formatted videos.

It is stocked with all required connectivity tools like 2G/3G, USB, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi etc. It comes with 1850 mAh battery which seems somewhat less when compared with other specs. When they have stuffed such nice and strong overall specs then why they have added such poor battery. I wish it would have developed with 2,000 mAh+ battery.
