Flashing Guide: AOKP 4th build Android 4.2.2 ROM for new devices

Android open Kang Project better known as AOKP have moved to its fourth build. This time they are focusing on latest Android version 4.2 Jellybean. AOKP is one of the global trusted custom ROM firm which is used globally. If you are an Android geek then I can bet that you have tested and used AOKP ROMs many times. In past they have focused on all kind of Android versions with different devices. Now they are moving to next level. Today it seems that Android 4.2 JB is built for Nexus devices only (however some of the Samsung devices have also received Custom build 4.2 updates but mainly it is stocked to Nexus devices). But now AOKP is taking the initiative to make 4.2 JB more common and popular. In their first step, they have ported it for many Non-Nexus devices (details will be given later in this article).

In their official blog they said that this time they have worked for providing bugs free AOSP merged ROMs. All new ROMs come with lot of features. Among all the features here I am jotting down some of the major one’s:

• New Camera with HDR mode
• Improved tweaks
• New features for photo editing
• Very less bugs
• Better UI with better transitions
• All 4.2 JB features

So in one shot fourth build from AOKP comes with very professional looking features which can even bring some type of revolution in Non-Nexus devices who are seeking for getting 4.2 JB update.

How to flash AOKP 4th build 4.2 JB ROM on Android devices
Before moving any further please invest your time in reading these pre-requisites. Strictly follow all of them.

This new AOKP build is developed for some special devices like HTC One Xl, Motorola Droid series, Galaxy Nexus (Sprint Carrier) etc. you can get complete details from here. Download the ROM package according to your device (given in last link which is about device compatibility).

Now download GApps Package to your Computer.

Once you are done with pre-requisites and downloads, please check our detailed guide about flashing this ROM in your devices. Please wipe out your previous ROM data completely (after backing it up). I will prefer you to go for Davlik Wiping.

Hope you have installed this latest ROM on your devices. In case you are getting confused somewhere then please let me know through your comments. One more thing as it comes from un-official resources so please root your device prior to this flashing process. You may even take help from some experienced friend.
