Micromax is the second biggest smartphone retailer brand in India. I have evidenced the days when their sales graph was going up and up. All that was because of new thinking (at least in India) and their price tags. They were really launching amazing specs at very low price tags (however they were using Chinese road shop items in smartphones). They utilized the price oriented thinking of Indian customers the most. Some of their most successful smartphones are Micromax A110 Canvas 2, A116 Canvas HD, A210 Canvas 4 etc. With time people somewhere understood the logic behind low price tags of MMX and they started avoiding high budget smartphones from company. It forced MMX to test customers with low price tags again.

Micromax A102 Doodle 3 is recent example of what MMX is trying once again. Usually we have seen Canvas products to come up with some extensions but for the first time, company has degraded its performance with Canvas Doodle 2, means Canvas Doodle 2 was way far better than Doodle 3. Here I am going to mention some facts which will help you decide whether Doodle 3 is a worth smartphone to go with or not.
Micromax A102 Canvas Doodle 3: worth to buy?
It comes with a 6 inch display. It runs on usual Android 4.2.2 Jellybean OS. It is powered by a dual core chip with 512 MB RAM. This is one of the first things that have shocked everyone. Dual core processor (chip is not that good) with 512 MB RAM for a 6 inch screen? Don’t know what Micromax is trying to prove. Have they discovered some new way of implementing a dual core processor on a 6 incher? Well it doesn’t seem from its chip model/number at least.
With this processor segment you won’t be able to enjoy the power of multi-tasking on your smartphone. Also this smartphone will not even last for 1 year even. You will face serious problems within first few months only. MMX has started this “disappointing” game with Canvas 4 earlier. People were expecting them to shed their records with a real smartphone but they presented Canvas 4 as a software upgraded model of Canvas HD (few hardware also). After this they tried with Octa Core chips but that too was not that successful.
So coming to the final conclusion, according to me Micromax A102 Canvas Doodle 3 is not a worth to buy product from any angle. It is launched for Rs. 8K approx price. You will get better quad core smartphones from companies like Karbonn, Lava at similar price. Please don’t go for its big screen (6 inch) as it is like a fish without water with dual core 512 MB processor.
