v2.17.709.2 built Official Android 4.2.2 OTA update for HTC One X+

HTC has decided to import some HTC One exclusive features to HTC One X+. Well I am talking about official Android 4.2.2 update for HTC One X+. This update is going to add some very exclusive features to One X+. First of all it is going to upshift the ROM level to Android 4.2.2 which is itself a big thing for users. Secondly it is going to bring some unseen flagship features inside ne X+ that are not available with normal 4.2.2 upgrades.

This ROM upgrade has started rolling out in Taiwan currently. But don’t worry it will very soon make its ways to Asian countries like India. This OTA update is codenamed as v2.17.709.2 I have already explained some of major changes that it will import from HTC One but now let me make a clear list of complete features that this update will bring.

Features of official Android 4.2.2 update for HTC One X+

Although this image describes each and every new feature, but still let me make a manual list. So this update brings:
• Sense 5 UI which is moulded with Android 4.2.2 environment
• Camera is upgraded with AE/AF lock systems that provides better security and high performance
• HTC Blinkfeed. It is the exclusive feature that is ported from One X
• New lock screens are added. These lock screens are also inspired from One X
• Faster interface
• Power Settings is altered with Sleep Mode action • Battery level is now visible in status bar
• Quick setting panel is also upgraded. Now it hosts 12 essential settings
• Video highlights feature
• Music Channels
• Dictionary is updated (not for Indian users)

So now you can yourself see that this OTA update bring some of the unseen exclusive features on your One X+. This update is bringing One X and X+ closer.

How to update

This update is available through an OTA method which carries a 485 MB file. At present it is confirmed to hit Taiwan. So if you live in Taiwan then you will see one update reading notification. Just go through that notification completely and you will end up with a complete new environment on your phone. For Non-Taiwan users, it will be launched very soon (in 2-3 coming weeks). So please wait. You can manually check through Settings>>About Phone>>System Updates menu.
