JWR66N based Android 4.3 ROM for Nexus 4 with installation guide

While everyone is waiting for next Android launch from Google, developers have already launched it for Nexus 4. Few days back, one such ROM was also unveiled for Samsung Galaxy S4. That too was based on Android 4.3 and was integrated with very new features and options. Anyhow this ROM is built on JWR66N version and is developed especially for international version of Nexus 4.

Generally Nexus machines receive the treat of latest Android updates from Google itself but this time they have received the treat from custom developers. Sadly it is not from the officials which means it might cause some problems or bugs in your Nexus smartphone. But nevertheless t will let you taste the Android 4.3 Jellybean environment which is worth all such bugs and risks.

I will prefer this ROM only if you are an Android geek and wants to try every new thing out there. Normal users might face several issues with this ROM. Also please backup your current ROM before flashing this custom ROM. I am sure in no time you all are (Nexus users) going to get a treat from Goole in form of Key Lime Pie. So please be patient and wait for that.

But if you have decided to go with this custom 4.3 ROM then here’s how you can flash it on your Nexus 4:
1. Follow these pre-requisites.
2. Now download the JWR66N ROM Package on your computer and transfer it to mobile’s SD card. You have to use USB cable here.
3. After this, download ROM manager app on your phone. You may also download it on computer but after that you will need to transfer it to mobile just like the ROM package. But as it is a small file so I will advise you to download it directly on your phone.
4. Now install ROM manager App and select Recovery Boot.
5. In Recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and Wipe Cache partition options.
6. Once both the options/tests are done, go to advanced option and perform a Dalvik Cache Clear operation.
7. Now go back to recovery menu and choose “install updates from sd card’.
8. Select the downloaded ROM package and wait for its flashing.
9. After 3-4 minutes, this ROM will get flashed and you will automatically land to main menu of recovery mode.
10. Select “Reboot System Now” option from there.

Now you have installed Android 4.3 on Nexus 4. Carefully observe all the options and enjoy the treat.
