HTC Desire P: specs and images discussed
HTC is going to unveil its upcoming smartphone in coming days. With this phone, they are expanding their Desire series. Dubbed as HTC Desire P, it is a mid-range entry level smartphone which is wrapped with strong looking specs.
Talking about HTC then they are there in mobile industry for so long now but they are still not that impressive (which they deserves). It might be because of less publicity or wrong marketing options. Moreover I haven’t seen any HTC service centers in around my area (where all other company’s service centers are there). But it doesn’t means that HTC lags somewhere or something like. HTC is a powerful brand which is knows for quality products. Here I am going to share a brief report about HTC Desire P.

HTC Desire P specs
HTC Desire P houses a 4.3 inches capacitive touchscreen with 480x800 pixels resolution. till now no information about its OS is available but according to some reports it is going to run on Android 4.2 Jellybean OS. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor with Adreno 203 dedicated GPU and 768 MB RAM. HTC is going to launch it for $235 price, but such specs (especially RAM and resolution) are nowhere close to this price tag. Means in price oriented Indian market, there are mobiles which comes with very powerful specs at similar price set.
It is equipped with 8MP rear, VGA front facing cameras plus 4 GB internal and 32GB external expandable memory. Here all specs are common except 8MP rear camera. It is one of the strongest feature of Desire P which might do wonders for them.
Till now no information about connectivity and battery specs are reviled however by seeing price and other factors, I think it will come with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, mini USB ports. Though there are very minor chances of NFC chip but it might house this future technology inside. It will surely be packed with 1500 mAh+ battery.
Price and availability
It is tagged to $235 initial price. In its first phase it will be launched to Taiwan and China only. But later this year, it will be launched in reputed markets.
Pros and Cons
Pros
• Good rear camera
• Branded phone
• Fast processor
Cons
• Less RAM
• High cost (as per Indian market view)
