Windows Blue: features, download and other details

After Windows 8 its time for Windows Blue! Windows Blue is the coded name of latest Windows version. It was in prediction world from last few weeks and toady finally one official confirmation about Windows Blue is published. All the data which I am going to put in this article belong to that official release.

Why Windows Blue?
This new Window is coming just after few months of launch of Windows 8. What it means, Windows 8 lacks somewhere or what? Actually Windows 8 is un-doubtly the fastest Windows version it comes with minimum boot time which makes it much –much faster than all the previous versions. However it received hard criticism on almost all its other features. This might be the reason which pushes Microsoft to come with a new Window after just few months of launch of W8. Windows Blue can be considered as the big brother of Windows 8 which is stuffed with more advanced and bug free features.

What’s new in Windows 8
Talking about the overall features then WB seems to be built on W8 similar platform. It has reframed almost all Windows 8 features but yes this time developers has brushed the magic of professionalism and smoothness over all the older features. Check the first image of Windows Blue:

From image it is clear that Windows Blue comes with smaller Tile sizes (however they are editable and can be changed anytime). It comes with a new Start menu which is stuffed with lots of customizable features. It comes with a side app view window which shows up to 4 running apps simultaneously. So it comes with better multi-tasking.

Setting Menu of Windows Blue comes with a tweak which is a great relief for all mobile users as they won’t need to go to Control Panel for their mobile interface. It comes with lots of inbuilt apps which gives every detail about running app including its size, type etc.

Like Windows 8, it too is developed for touch based laptops, desktops and tablets. It might disappoint non-touch screen users after all for them it is nothing more than a normal interface. This new version brings eye catching transitions and swapping effects. It is equipped with gesture recognition tools which help users to switch between various functions more easily.

Windows 8 VS Windows Blue: main differences
Both Windows are almost similar. As Windows Blue is the advanced version of Windows 8 so obviously it comes with leading edge features. It shows 4 apps in side window whereas Windows 8 shows only 3 apps (even 2 in low resolution screen). From the screen shot, it appears that WB comes with Internet Explorer 11 which would be its strongest feature (if it happens). So no doubt, Windows Blue is better than Windows 8.
