Here I am talking about the music store that BlackBerry has launched in Indian market. Not to forget that it’s a new store and is currently in update stage where more numbers of tracks is getting added day by day. It seems to be a single spot for all legal music fans who want to save music by buying it from legal sources.
Though it is launched for India but you will find almost nil regional songs there. But as I already told that it is in UPDATE stage so we might expect officials to think like Indian Audience and to add huge Indian regional tacks. In its very initial comparison with iTunes (music store from Apple), it completely falls down with less number of tracks that too even with high price tags than iTunes. There are some tracks on BlackBerry Music Store which costs approx. 2x than iTunes. It is really a disappointing thing and according to me they should work on it as soon as possible. Whenever something is its starting stage then the officials have to compromise with the term BENEFIT. They can’t expect millions of sale with such high price tags.
All the tracks from this new store can be opened with BB10 smartphones only and can be downloaded on maximum of 5 smartphones (must be BB10). It is a good step towards killing piracy. BB10 is getting launched in India today so let’s hope they will very soon fill their music stores with Indian oriented music.
